Jonathon Hunyor,
Nominee of PIAC
Jonathon Hunyor is the CEO of the Public Interest Advocacy Centre. He has practised for over 25 years as a lawyer in NSW and the Northern Territory in areas including criminal law, discrimination and human rights, migration and refugee law and Aboriginal land rights. Jonathon’s previously roles have included Principal Legal Officer at the North Australian Aboriginal Justice Agency in Darwin and Director of Legal Services at the Australian Human Rights Commission in Sydney. He has published widely in academic and professional journals and is a Director on the board of Community Legal Centres NSW.
