Garth Tinsley,
Head of Policy and Strategy
Garth Tinsley is the Head of Policy and Strategy at the Australian Pro Bono Centre. Before that, he was engaged as Senior Pro Bono Consultant at the Centre. He is a senior lawyer with expertise in the areas of pro bono and social impact. His experience spans dedicated pro bono legal practice, the community legal sector and commercial legal practice focused on litigation and dispute resolution.
Garth was Special Counsel of the Year at the 2023 Australian Law Awards and a finalist in the Mentor of the Year award in 2024.Garth chairs the WA Law Society’s Access to Justice committee and serves on the Australian Community of Pro Bono Lawyers committee.
He also has extensive not-for-profit board experience and currently serves on the board of the Consumer Credit Legal Service, a specialist Community Legal Centre in Western Australia.
