Ying Yi Lim,
Secondee (Norton Rose Fulbright)
at the Australian Pro Bono Centre
Ying Yi is a part-time secondee at the Centre from Norton Rose Fulbright Sydney. Prior to starting her secondment in March 2022, Ying Yi undertook graduate rotations at Norton Rose Fulbright in Employment & Labour and Construction & Projects.
Ying Yi is passionate about exploring how law and development work can address human rights issues, and is excited to contribute and learn from the Centre’s work in this space. She is the author of the book chapter “Redressing Native Land Grabs: Finding a State Fiduciary Duty to Consult its Indigenous People in Sarawak, Malaysia” in Law and Justice in Malaysia – 2020 and Beyond. As a university student, Ying Yi volunteered at Marrickville Community Legal Centre and engaged in various international student, refugee and law reform research and advocacy work. She is also currently undertaking a part-time secondment at the Immigration Rights and Advice Centre (IARC).
Ying Yi holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and Science from the University of Sydney.
