By the Book: Highlighting content from the new editions of the Manual and What Works
Each month in By the Book, a new section of the Australian Pro Bono News, we will highlight content from the recently released editions of the Centre’s two books:
- The Australian Pro Bono Manual – A practice guide and resource kit for law firms (3rd ed), and
- Pro bono partnerships and models – A practical guide to What Works (2nd ed).
In this first instalment we feature the new case studies included in What Works. The latest edition has been specifically updated to incorporate four new case studies which demonstrate innovative approaches to established models of pro bono. These include:
- 20.5.2 Refugee Advice and Casework Services and Henry Davis York, and
- 21.5.3 LegalPod (Queensland Public Interest Law Clearing House)
Other case studies have also been updated to reflect significant or innovative developments.
We look forward to highlighting other key sections of the Manual and What Works in future editions of By the Book.
