Issue 100: July 2015
Welcome to the 100th issue of the Centre’s newsletter, now known as the AUSTRALIAN PRO BONO NEWS, providing stories and articles of interest to the Australian pro bono community. The name has been changed consistent with the Centre’s new name, and to reflect its increasing international reach.
The first issue of the newsletter was published in March 2003 and reported on the establishment of the Centre, the Centre’s first major publication (The Australian Pro Bono Manual), the 2nd National Pro Bono Conference and the Victorian government’s inclusion of pro bono requirements in its tender scheme.
Over the past 99 editions the Centre has had the pleasure of profiling the innovative pro bono legal work undertaken by the Australian legal profession, reporting on policy reform in relation to barriers to pro bono and sharing ideas about pro bono from around the globe.
We hope you enjoy this edition and look forward to the next one hundred.
As always, we welcome your feedback/contributions/ideas – please email info@probonocentre.org.au.
