Walk for Justice on National Pro Bono Day

National Pro Bono Day takes place in May each year, on Tuesday of National Law Week.

The day provides an opportunity to celebrate the pro bono work undertaken by the Australian legal profession. On this day Walks for Justice are also held simultaneously across the country to support and raise funds for local pro bono referral organisations. In 2026, the following Walks for Justice will take place:

• The Queensland Legal Walk raises funds for LawRight QLD.
• The Law Access Walk for Justice raises funds for Law Access WA.
• The South Australian Walk for Justice raises funds for JusticeNet SA.
• The Walk for Justice NSW raises funds for the Refugee Advice and Casework Service.

The first Walk was held in 2008, inspired by the London Legal Walk in the United Kingdom, which raises money for the London Legal Support Trust.
